OUR STORY

For the past 20 years, our co-founder and CTO, Leo Blakely, has worked in the plastics and plastic recycling industry. His goal has always been to find a way to solve a world-wide problem – the reality that the majority of plastic we think we recycle ends up in a landfill site. The fundamental solution: redirect plastic waste sent to landfill sites and turn it into something else. Sounds simple, right? Unfortunately, it’s not. Plastic recycling is incredibly complex, and it has taken years to perfect the technology.

Fast-forward fifteen years (and eight equipment versions later), and we finally have a solution. Leo, with the help of our Technical Team, has created a process technology that’s imaginative, functional, simplistic in design and robust in its functionality. Unlike most recycling groups, we created a cost efficient technology that uses less energy, uses no water and absolutely no chemicals to complete the process. That means no matter where you are, where the recycling needs to take place, it can be affordable, accessible, and can operate with little to no impact on the environment. We can recycle what others can’t.

We’re still overwhelmed by the amount of plastic out there, but now we have an opportunity to really make a positive impact on the environment. We want to see 100% of the plastic waste produced around the world recycled, and we want to help you, your community, organizations, countries – everyone – make it a reality. Simple as that.

 

Management Team

The Greenable Technology Group executive team brings years of technical knowledge and practical experience in both the public and private sectors and are committed to addressing and solving this global problem.

 

Leo Blakely, Chief Technology Officer, Co-Founder
Leo has a strong and diverse background in innovation, technology application, equipment design and process design. He is an experienced manager, leader and product innovator with over 20 years of practical problem solving in the plastics industry. Prior to co-founding the Greenable Technology Group, he led a company that produced plastic products for the construction industry with materials coming from the plastic waste stream.

 

Tim Scott, Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder
Tim is a seasoned entrepreneur with over 25 years in the manufacturing sector. An experienced business leader in global strategy, operations, quality, sales and service, his focus is on business development and providing solutions. Prior to co-founding Greenable Technology Group, he led a multi-site, multi-disciplinary manufacturing organization and managed complex and diverse organizations in the fields of automation, industrial process control, custom electronics, and management consulting.

 

Sarrah Scott, Director of Marketing and Communications

Sarrah is a dynamic and award winning communicator with over 10 years of marketing and communications experience in both the financial and non-profit sectors. Sarrah is responsible for all marketing and communications activities including all media, PR and social interactions, as well as all philanthropic initiatives. Before she joined Greenable Technology Group, Sarrah spent several years as a Senior Marketing, Communications and Collaborations Consultant with a large Canadian financial services company.
